The charm and the beauty of its Promontory, overlooking the sea, make Gabicce Mare unforgettable. The paths wich lead towards the beach, wind their way through San Bartolo park, a park situated on the hillside above Gabicce Monte which is costantly bathed in sunshine by the sun which rises from the sea.
At Eastertime, Gabicce Mare hosts the International Cyclotourist Week, an event which began here and which, each year, attracts hundreds of cyclists from all over Europe. A packed programme of events and meetings, hosted in a large marquee, keep both the cyclists and their families happy. The sea offers the best opportunity to practice sport, either individually or otherwise. Sailing, waterswimming, windsurfing and fishing - both angling and underwater. On the hill, San Bartolo park offers lovers of trekking, mountain biking and nature some of the most pictoresque scenery along the Adriatic Coast. And not forgetting ... tennis, horse-riding, beach volley, beach bowls and rollerblading. There’s even a golf course on the hill above Gabicce near the Baia Vallugola.
